If You Would Like to Be a Consignor:
To participate in our sale, you must login and register as a consignor with
www.myconsignmentmanager.com/kce . If you have never sold with this sale and you do not have a User ID and password, click on Login/Register and then click on Create an Account and follow the prompts. This process will assign you a consignor number, for our upcoming sale. To be eligible for the Preview Sale, you must consign 25 or more items or sign up as a volunteer.

You do not need to consign in order to volunteer.
Preparing Your Items:
Clothes MUST BE ON HANGERS with hook looking like a question mark.
No metal hangers, please! Toys with more than one piece must be in clear plastic bags. If your item has more than one piece, you can put a note with your number on the additional pieces, but do not attach a barcoded tag to each piece. Please be careful not to place tape over the barcode. Items must be in GOOD to EXCELLENT CONDITION. Clothing must be laundered and pressed. NO STAINS OR TEARS, NO MISSING BUTTONS, BROKEN ZIPPERS OR SNAPS, PLEASE. As we
grow, we must become more selective, not all items will be accepted, at our discretion. Due to space limitations we will not be able to accept stuffed animals or breakable items.
Car Seats: Must be less than five years old, not recalled and never been in an accident. The manufactured date is stamped on the bottom. Car seats will be inspected and if there is any concern, will not be accepted. Safety is our top priority.
Tagging Your Items:
All items must be pre-tagged before they may be brought in for drop off.
Tags should be securely pinned or taped; however, be careful not to damage the item you are selling.
Creating Your Tags:
Sort all of your items by clothing, toys, equipment, etc. Regarding clothing, sort by gender and then size. When sorting is completed, enter your items into the system. Go to the tab, Enter Items. By sorting prior to entering, you will save a lot of time because you will only have to reenter the price and description for each similar item. If you need to edit anything, go to the Manage Inventory screen. Here you can print inventory reports, mass edit items or individual items, and also see a Projected Settlement Report based on the items you have entered into the
You may choose to discount your items. By clicking on discount, you are indicating that you want to sell your item for ½ price during the half price sale on Saturday and Sunday. You may choose whether or not to donate your items that don’t sell. A “Yes” will indicate that you will NOT be picking up the item after the sale, and we will be donating the item on your behalf. If you do not come back to pick up your items during the designated pick up times, they will automatically become the possession of The Kids Clothing Exchange and will be donated
regardless of what is indicated on the tag.
Printing can be performed at anytime, at intervals or all at once when you finish entering your items. Please make sure that your tag paper consists of only white, light or pastel colors. You must also use cardstock paper (at least 60# or 65# cardstock). Once your tags are printed, make sure the bar-code is clear and is not excessively dark (use ‘normal’ setting when printing – NOT BEST quality), then cut on the lines and safety pin to the clothing. When applying tape to the toys, equipment, etc. please do not put tape on the bar-code.
Do not make any handwritten changes or corrections to your tags. Make a new tag if you make a mistake or want to change the price.
Determining Selling Prices: You decide your own prices; however, we suggest that you price items at 30% of the retail value. Price all items in whole dollars. The minimum selling price of any item is $1 and will not go half-price.
Attaching Your Tags: Attach tag to front of clothing with a safety pin. Be careful to pin through a seam or the sizing tag, so you do not damage the clothing. Save our fingers, No straight pins, please!!!!
Drop Off: You may drop off your items at any of the designated drop off times.
Please bring a self addressed (standard size) envelope with you when you check in. Add your consignor # in the bottom left corner of the envelope. This is what we will use to mail you your check. This is also your entry into a special “consignor only” drawing for a $50 gift certificate to this sale. We will draw the winner and post it on the morning of the preview sale.
You may pick up any unsold items that you did not designate as donate after the sale on the specified PICK UP days. Unsold items remaining after the PICK UP days will be donated to charity.
